The Lost Levels was the Japanese version of Super Mario Bros, and before this compilation was released, the video game was not available outside Japan. Even the sounds in the All-Stars are better.

What that means is the brothers are represented the same way they were originally, but made better.Although the games are technically remakes, each is almost identical to its original. Fans of Super Mario Bros will appreciate that this game includes all of the pizza-loving brothers' best adventures. The unique design of this old-school game allows it to take advantage of Super NES hardware, including 16-bit graphics and parallax scrolling to enhance playtime. Even one version that was exclusive to Japan before 1994 is included. All five Mario side-scrolling platformer games with a release date between 19 are included in this game. This compilation game truly is an all-star edition that provides huge upgrades to the originals.
